As Professor of Economics, she teaches courses in Microeconomic Theory, Environmental Economics and Development Economics to PhD (Economics) students at PIDE. She is Director of recently established Centre of Environmental Economics and Climate Change (CEECC) at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, Islamabad. She is also part of the visiting faculty of Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Islamabad Campus and Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. |
| She has published on various issues including economic growth, energy, exchange rate and gender issues. Currently she is working on environmental issues and the impact of environmental degradation on economic growth in developing countries. As member of the Planning Commission’s Task Force on Climate Change, she is working on economic cost of climate change to Pakistan. She supervises the research of M.Phil/PhD students working on economic and environmental issues. |
